REMEMBRANCE

In Flanders' fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row.

This year is the 100th Anniversary of the
Remembrance Poppy in Canada.

The Palmerston Legion will be having their annual Remembrance Day Service
at the Cenotaph at 10:45 am on November 11, 2021.

The Public is welcome to attend this year’s Service following current Covid-19 protocols. We ask that masks be worn since people will be standing closely together.

There will be no Parade to the Cenotaph or social/lunch at the Branch afterwards.

Wreaths will be put in place at the Cenotaph with ribbons identifying who the wreath has been placed for or by.

All organizations/individuals will be acknowledged during our Service.

A Drive-Thru Roast Beef Dinner will take the place of our usual sit down meal at a cost of $15/plate.
Call 519.343.3919 to book your pick up time. Deadline to order is November 6th.

The Poppy Campaign

  • Every year, the Legion conducts the Poppy Campaign to honour those who serve, and to raise funds in support of Veterans and their families. From the last Friday in October to Remembrance Day, all Canadians can be a part of the campaign. Wear a poppy, attend a ceremony, and show your recognition for those who gave their lives for our freedom.
