In Flanders' fields the poppies blow

COVID-19 greatly impacted REMEMBRANCE ACTIVITIES THIS YEAR
but started a new tradition of placing ribbons on wreaths to Remember
the sacrifices of those that served for our Freedom

The Palmerston Legion will be having their annual Remembrance Day Service
at the Cenotaph at 11 am on November 11, 2020.

We had to make a difficult decision because of Covid-19 to limit this year’s Service to Legion members ONLY.

There will be no Parade to the Cenotaph or social/lunch at the Branch afterwards.

All wreaths will be put in place at the Cenotaph with ribbons identifying who the wreath has been placed for or by.

All organizations/individuals will be acknowledged during our Service.

We are offering a Drive-Thru Roast Beef Dinner at a cost of $15/plate.

Call 519.343.3919 to book your pick up time. Deadline to order is November 7th.

The Poppy Campaign

  • Every year, the Legion conducts the Poppy Campaign to honour those who serve, and to raise funds in support of Veterans and their families. From the last Friday in October to Remembrance Day, all Canadians can be a part of the campaign. Wear a poppy, attend a ceremony, and show your recognition for those who gave their lives for our freedom.
